Do you care about previewing the update before it happens, or just review after the fact?
After would work fine for me.
As for 'check in' vs commit, people are more likely to know what 'check in' means, where commit is more of a database term and not quite what a newbie expects. So 'check in' was chosen with the intention of making ZigVersion more usable.
I'm not sure I agree, but that's cool. It's no big deal, I was mostly curious. Though the term 'check in' does give me Visual SourceSafe flashbacks, scary
