#1 - Just made a ticket, will try to get that one in for the next release.
#2 - off-line mode is something we've been putting off for now, since it requires a lot of changes to the way we've been doing things (we've focused on the on-line user experience for now). We do intend to add it, but it will probably be post-1.0.
