Great news about using the API! Much faster and more flexible. If you guys ever need help, come ask questions on dev@subversion.tigris.org.
Best of luck on the product... I hope it does well. I'm friends with a group of professional musical typesetters who are using subversion to collaborate on musical scores. They're pretty miserable using the svn commandline... as soon as you guys add svn_client_lock() to your product, I'll recommend this tool to them. (They need to lock everything, since the score-files aren't mergeable.)
