Deal for early buy-in? - 2006/07/20 13:04
Just downloaded Beta7, and have finally been able to give it a workout (I am trapped on 10.3 at one client's site). You've nailed the two things that none of the other GUI clients have done well enough for me to be able to recommend them to non-programmer site developers, renaming, and reorganizing. I am basically ready to buy, and recommend at my current main client.
So, are you interested in having early purchasers, who trade a little uncertainty about release date, etc., in return for a nice price?
It's obviousy fine to say no, you're not ready. But if you wanted a bit of cash to help with your bootstrap phase, it's a nice way to do it. (Check out how TextDrive bootstrapped themselves, by selling lifetime hosting to a fixed, limited number of people, to get their initial funding. I think there's a Wikipedia entry on it...)
This is more of an offer to help than a real desire for a discount. I'm perfectly fine waiting, using the (free!) beta, and paying full price when 1.0 is released.
On that topic, any idea when, and how much?
