Edit properties? - 2006/08/11 10:13 I'd like to edit properties, especially revision properties. Can ZigVersion do this now or is this a planned feature?

I'm always checking things in the with the wrong comment. Or, more specifically, I'm always checking in unrelated files along with the ones relevant to the comment). The price of ZigVersion would be worth it just for that alone.

Re:Edit properties? - 2006/08/12 04:23 I think a good solution to this would be to add checkboxes next to the files in the check in... dialog, so you could choose to only check in specific files with the comment. If not all of the files were checked in, then the dialog should remain open, so you can do multiple commits for different files one after the other.

We currently do not have a way to change properties; we're planning on adding a way to set svn:ignore in 1.1, not sure which other ones we will end up adding yet. So you want to be able to edit your previous checkin comments, right? (probably by typing into the checkin comment textbox in the history drawer, and getting a big fat warning when you modify it...?) Are there any other properties you wanted to be able to modify?

Currently you can remove files from the list in the checkin dialog, and then re-run the checkin again when you finish the first set. I don't really like the idea of having checkboxes there, but I think being able to save off files to do a separate checkin could be handy. I'm adding a ticket for saving files for extra checkins in a single checkin dialog, and I'll give this some more thought.

Re:Edit properties? - 2006/08/22 08:54 On more thought, I suppose it would get kind of clunky to have checkboxes in the check in dialog.

Having some sort of flat view (as talked about in another thread) would solve this problem for me, because then I could just select the files I want to check in from there and then right click+checkin to go to the dialog.

Re:Edit properties? - 2006/09/12 12:36 I think that having some way to edit properties is vital. Pretty much all of my projects use the svn:externals property to include sub-projects.

Also, svn:needs-lock is useful ...

svn:externals & svn:needs-lock - 2007/02/09 10:26 I'd have to agree that 'svn:externals' and 'svn:needs-lock' are requirements for our shop. This is what is missing from all other SVN clients for the mac (at least all the GUI clients).
