comments from a first time user - 2007/09/28 08:05 I am a new user to ZigVersion currently evaluating the tool. I am using 1.2 beta 4. Here are my comments. Take them as what they are: initial impressions.

1) The View Changes button should work for out-of-date files. Currently to see what has changed in a file before updating, i have to open the Revision Viewer. Doing that takes multiple click, while the View Changes button would be just a single click.

2) Double clicking on modified and out-of-date files should bring up the View Changes screen rather than opening the file. It is the most likely need.

3) The number of out-of-date files in brackets (ex. [2]) does not distinguish between out-of-date files and missing files. Maybe, after drilling down to the directory with the files that are missing, it should also list the names of these missing files?

4) After a commit of a single file, the entire "Changed Files" tree is refreshed. This is a time consuming operation on large SVN trees, and gets in the way when committing multiple files separately.

5) Double click on directories in the tree should expand the directory, not open a new Finder window.

6) There should be an option to have the status of a file specified by color. (ex. out-of-date is blue, modified is red, missing is green)

7) When a file has been modified, all parent directories should specify that a child has been modified. This would be similar to the way all parent directories with out-of-date files have the [#] notation.
